Why Solana Beach patients drive north
the studio worth passing others for
Solana Beach is small, polished and close to plenty of spas. The reason to drive up to Carlsbad is clinical depth: treatment decided by what your skin needs, not by which machine a spa happens to own.
dermatology-led, not device-led
Your plan is built by a team led by Insiyah Darugar, MSN, FNP, who completed the Harvard-affiliated Dermatology Nurse Practitioner Fellowship at Lahey Hospital & Medical Center.
laser work for years of sun
Halo, BBL Hero and Morpheus8 cover sun spots, uneven tone, texture and laxity, so your plan can combine the right tools instead of one device for everything.
a medical director who teaches injectors
Dr. Jonathan Sykes, MD, a double board-certified facial plastic surgeon and past president of the AAFPRS, has trained practitioners in facial anatomy and injection technique for Botox and fillers.
skin checks alongside cosmetic care
Dermatology-trained providers can check moles and sun damage at the same studio where you have your aesthetic treatments.

Is Glow Theory in Solana Beach?
No. Our only studio is in Carlsbad, at 7750 El Camino Real, Suite F. From Solana Beach it’s about 10–14 miles, usually 15–25 minutes up I-5.
Which treatment is best for sun spots from years at the beach?
It depends on depth and skin type, which is why we start with a Visia skin analysis. BBL Hero targets brown spots and redness (face $575), while Halo resurfaces tone and texture more deeply (face $1,680). Many patients combine the two.
How much downtime should I plan for after Halo?
Most patients plan a few days of social downtime while the skin renews, and strict sun protection afterwards. Your provider will give you a timeline before you book, so you can plan around beach days and events.
Can I see a dermatology provider for a skin check while I’m there?
Yes. Skin cancer screenings are offered at the same studio by dermatology-trained providers, so you can combine a skin check with a cosmetic visit.
What’s the easiest route from Solana Beach?
Take Lomas Santa Fe Drive to I-5 north, then head east to El Camino Real. Coast Highway 101 is slower but scenic. Check live directions before you leave.
