During your in-depth consultation at Glow Theory, our experienced injectors will discuss your concerns and desired outcomes in detail. They will assess the type and amount of filler present, ensuring filler dissolvers are the right solution for you. The treatment itself involves a series of tiny injections with minimal discomfort. The cost depends on the amount of filler and the number of sessions needed. At Glow Theory in Carlsbad, filler dissolving costs $150–$300 per session, and we confirm your price at your consultation.
While some discomfort is possible, our team uses topical numbing cream and refined injection techniques to minimize any discomfort.
You may see noticeable results within 24-48 hours, with the full effect taking up to two weeks.
Swelling, redness and tenderness at the injection sites are common and usually settle within a day or two. Allergic reactions to hyaluronidase are rare; tell your injector if you are allergic to bee or wasp stings, as we may test a small amount first. Hyaluronidase can also soften some of your own natural hyaluronic acid for a short time, which recovers on its own.
Hyaluronidase dissolves hyaluronic acid (HA) fillers, such as Juvéderm®, Restylane® and Revanesse®. It does not dissolve non-HA products such as Sculptra® or Radiesse®. Your injector will confirm the type of filler you have at your consultation.
Yes. Once the area has settled, usually after about two weeks, it can be refilled with a result that suits you better. New clients save $50 on filler when we refill the same area. See Dermal Fillers and Lip Fillers.
