Kybella is an injectable treatment that targets fat cells on the submental area. Because it eliminates the cells, the results last for years. However, patients should note that the treatment can have some side effects, such as swelling or bruising. However, most patients able to return to work within one or two days.
A topical numbing cream applied to the skin one hour before the treatment. This helps to prevent any discomfort during the procedure. A grid then drawn on the submental region and a small amount of Kybella injected into the predetermined injection sites. This procedure usually takes 20 minutes, and patients can return home afterward.
